Lamps Electronics Lighting Products Review

There are various lighting products on the market today in which cliam they will light your case. Some do it better than others and that is obvious. Today we will be looking at some new products from Lamps Electronics, which resides in China.

We will be looking today at the Lamps Electronics UV Lazer LED, Lamps Electronics Blue Lazer LED and the new Lamps Electronics CCFL Fan Cathode Kit, which has two rings and in a solid blue color product.

Lamps Electronics UV Lazer LED

The Lamps Electronics UV Lazer LED comes in a small exterior box to prevent any shortages and adds visual flair. It is made out of plastic and can be taken apart. Inside you will see the simple circuit and all the wires soldered on to it. The Lamps Electronics UV Lazer LED works off of a 4-pin MOLEX connection and provides a 4-pin MOLEX pass through connector. There are three LED’s that are connected to the circuit and are positioned at an angle.

Along with the package contains screws and tape of mounting the product wherever you choose. Once you fire this product up, you will see that the Lamps Electronics UV Lazer LED provides ample lighting. This being a UV product, you cannot see the UV light with your naked eye so this is expected. I found a problem though. If you fiddle around or kink around with the wires, the Lamps Electronics UV Lazer LED light will shut off/on, which means there is a bad connection somewhere in the circuit. Overall this product did not impress me that much and I don’t see the point of having it purchased.

Pros and Cons

+ Nice looking
- Not much illumination
- Bad connections within circuit

Lamps Electronics Blue Lazer LED

The Lamps Electronics Blue Lazer LED comes in a basic plastic package like the UV Lazer LED. It comes with mounting screws and mounting tape. It also comes in a silver plastic exterior that prevents any shortages or interference. There are four blue LED’s that are connected to the simple circuit and is powered off a 4-pin MOLEX connector and has a 4-pin pass through connector.

Once powered, the Lamps Electronics Blue Lazer LED is bright! You should not look straight into it because it will hurt and potentially damage your eyes. It has great illumination as well. Like the Lamps Electronics UV Lazer LED, this blue one suffers from a bad connection somewhere in the circuit too as it will random turn on/off while playing around with its wires. I like this product. It is bright and looks very nice. The only problem is that there is a bad connection with it. If these are fixed (hopefully only mine), I can easily recommend it.

Pros and Cons

+ Bright!
+ Nice exterior enclosure
- Bad connections

Lamps Electronics CCFL Fan Cathode Kit

The Lamps Electronics CCFL Fan Cathode Kit comes in a bigger plastic box with the CCFL Fan Cathode, mounting screws, and a PCI Slot On/Off plate. The Lamps Electronics CCFL Fan Cathode connects to the PCI slot plate. All you have to do is connect the metal plugs into their respective places at the rear of the PCI Slot On/Off plate. After that you are able to cover that connection with plastic heat shrink. The cathode has multiple blue LED’s but the rear has none.

Once connected and lit up, the Lamps Electronics CCFL Fan Cathode Kit rocks. It is like the dual-colored version we reviewed a while back but now in just the blue color. It lights up the room very brightly and when inside the case, dominants the whole case with bright blue. It is actually better than some CCFL cathodes.

I simply like the Lamps Electronics CCFL Fan Cathode Kit; it illuminated very brightly and simply rocked.

After using it for a while, the Lamps Electronics CCFL Fan Cathode Kit becomes warm but not hot. The On/Off PCI Slot plate is a bonus because that reduces cable clutter as opposed to using an inverter. If you are looking for a good way to light up your case, Lamps Electronics CCFL Fan Cathode Kit’s are the way to go.

Pros and Cons

+ BRIGHT!
+ Whole ring is lighted up
+ Easy to install
- Adds some warm heat (not hot though)
